THE OPTIMAL BIKE FOR THE PERFECT MATCH

Choosing the right type and size of two-wheeler is crucial for comfort, safety and riding enjoyment - the cornerstone of your new passion. Are you planning to buy a two-wheeler, but you're not sure which type and size to choose? Here are some tips to help you make the right choice.

DETERMINE YOUR CROTCH HEIGHT

Stand barefoot with your back against a wall, place a book between your legs with the spine facing upwards so that it touches your crotch. Now measure the distance from the floor to the top edge of the spine of the book. This is your stride length.

OPTIMUM BODY POSITION

Your arms should be slightly bent when you sit on the bike, your foot should be able to go all the way round the pedals without your leg being overstretched or bent too much.

BIKE TYPE AND SIZE CHARTS

S-pedelec, mountain bike, road bike, city bike, folding bike, e-bike... The geometries and fits differ depending on the use. The optimum frame sizes can therefore vary. Check the recommendations of the bike brands: Most manufacturers offer a size chart with the recommended frame size based on your stride and body size.

GET ADVICE

A specialist dealer can advise you, measure you correctly and customise a bike perfectly for you. The correct frame size is one thing, the adjustment of components such as saddle, handlebars, pedals, grips, brake handles etc. is a meticulous interplay. Fine adjustments can have a big effect on comfort.

TEST RIDE

We recommend that you test ride your dream bike before you buy it.
